Azizi Brum, a 57-year-old Jewish resident of Ashkelon, arrived at Barzilai Hospital in the coastal city on Sunday where protests continued, as Arabs demonstrated in support of the hunger-striking Islamic Jihad terrorist Mohammad Allaan.

Allaan is being treated at the hospital and may be force fed; Jews have been counter-protesting against the presence of the pro-terrorist rally, calling for the jailed terrorist Allaan to be deported instead of being force fed.

But on the background of the heated protests, Brum was refused entry to the hospital complex by the police - for flying an Israeli flag from his motorbike, a "crime" that landed him with a warning.

Brum told Arutz Sheva that he was asked by an officer to remove the flag before entering the hospital but refused. Video of Brum being told by the officer that he can't enter with the flag can be seen below, in Hebrew.

"I went to join the counter-protest in front of the hospital; I hung a meter-and-a-half long pole with an Israeli flag and attached it well and went in to the protest," said Brum.

"Later I wanted to enter the hospital and a police officer asked me where I was going, I told him to the emergency room, he said 'you can't go in like that.' I asked: 'why? It's the flag of Israel and we are in the state of Israel.' He told me: 'it's a provocation.'"

Brum noted that at the protest, Arabs waved dozens of flags of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) terror group, and no one asked them to take down the flags.

"I asked the officer 'why don't you tell them to take down the PLO flags?' He said 'don't tell me what to do,' and didn't let me enter (the hospital)," recalled Brum. "I kept riding and then an officer stopped me and asked for licenses. I asked him why, he said 'I'm giving you a ticket.'"

When he asked what the ticket was for, the officer "started to stutter. A quarter-of-an-hour later he got back to me and said he would give me a warning because the flag is an object liable to prevent full control over the motorbike."

Brum isn't the only protester who has reported of unfair treatment. During the protest at the hospital last Wednesday, one local man reported that police threatened to arrest him for saying "Arabs go home," while Arabs were allowed to shout "itbah al Yahud," meaning "slaughter the Jew" in Arabic.
