While so-called “popular terror” – like stabbings and vehicular terror – have been doing most of the damage to Israelis so far this year, the Palestinians are continuing to try and carry out more sophisticated and coordinated attacks as well, reports Walla.

According to the news site, the Israel Security Agency (ISA, or Shin Bet) has foiled no less than 17 suicide attacks in the last seven months alone. This does not include other suicide attacks that were prevented by the Palestinian Authority (PA).

Walla says five of the planned suicide attacks were planned by Hamas, five by other organizations and the remaining seven were planned by people unaffiliated with any organization.

All in all, the security establishment succeeded in preventing 111 terror attacks, including gunfire attacks, the planting of bombs and abductions – since January. Of these, 62 were planned by Hamas. Almost all of the attacks targeted Jews living in Judea and Samaria, or soldiers serving there.
