Hamas continues to boast of its military prowess, asserting Wednesday it has taken control of an IDF drone that fell inside the Beit Lahia area in northern Gaza.

In a video clip, Channel 2 reports, the so-called Israeli drone is shown as Hamas' military wing proclaims it "successfully obtained a 'Skylark' Israeli drone that fell on July 22."

Upon examination and reassembly, the organization claims in the clip, the drone was put back into use. It refers to the recovery of the drone a "quality achievement."

Hamas also praised "the number of young minds" from the organization who are now working with the drone, calling them members of a "special unit."

Earlier Wednesday, a Hamas television station called the obtainment of the drone a "technological achievement," though the official announcement from Hamas' military wing avoided such terminology.

Unofficial media in Gaza also alleged on Wednesday that Hamas has the technology to disrupt the activities of other Israeli drones in northern Gaza, but the video and official announcement made no such mention of this technology.

The announcement of the drone on Wednesday comes on the heels of senior Hamas official Mahmoud al-Zahar's assertion that the terrorist group has transformed itself from a militia into a real military power.
