Although police are still investigating, there is little doubt who is responsible for the murder of 70-year-old farmer David Bar Kapara as he worked his fields in Israel's central plain, his family believes.

“It was clearly the illegal Arab workers who were there,” a family member told Arutz Sheva. “Any other direction for the investigation would be a waste of time.”

Police have not drawn any definite conclusions, but they are said to believe that Bar Kapara of Rehovot was beaten by a group of Arabs from among those who regularly enter Israeli cities illegally in search of employment.

A major manhunt has been launched by police, who are currently attempting to locate the perpetrators.

Bar Kapara was found bloodied and beaten in an agricultural field between Pedaya and Carmei Yosef in central Israel and was taken by Magen David Adom paramedics to the Assaf Harofeh Hospital in Tzrifin, where he succumbed to his wounds some time later.

Agriculture Minister Uri Ariel said that he would personally ensure that the murderers got what they deserved.

“I swear to you, Jewish blood is not cheap. Anyone who thinks they can desecrate this land, and the Name of G-d, by murdering Jews will learn they cannot get away with it. The days of murdering and getting away with it are over.”
