Israel will see yet another strong heat wave this week with both Wednesday and Thursday approaching scorching hot temperatures.

Monday night will be clear with Tuesday seeing a decrease in temperatures, primarily along the coastal plain and in the lowlands. Inland and on Israel's mountains, however, the temperature Tuesday will be unusually warm.

Temperatures will jump drastically on Wednesday prompting a wave of extreme heat throughout the country. Tel Aviv is expected to reach 41°C (106°F) and Jerusalem will be nearly as hot with a high of 37° (99°).

On Thursday, temperatures will drop considerably, but humidity will create an ongoing feeling of heavy heat.

The heat will lift on Friday, which is predicted to be partly cloudy and significantly cooler. Drizzle or light rain is also a possibility in the north.
