Two Arabs on Tuesday night tried to break into the car of Daniella Weiss, co-founder of the NACHALA Land of Israel movement and a longtime leader of the settlement enterprise in Judea and Samaria.

Weiss was travelling near the Palestinian Arab village of Jit, near Kedumim, when the two men suddenly tried to open the door of the car. When they were unsuccessful, the two assailants threw two large rocks towards the car window and fled the scene.

Weiss was not hurt. She later filed a complaint with the police and said that she tried to run away immediately after the attack but there were cars in front of her, forcing her to veer to the opposite lane to escape.

Weiss said that she is convinced that the attack was a kidnapping attempt, due to recent incidents in the region. IDF troops continue to search the area for the attackers.

A terror attack last week in Jerusalem killed Shalom Yohai Sherki, who was murdered when a Palestinian Arab driver deliberately rammed his car into a Jerusalem bus stop.

The driver, a 37-year-old Palestinian from Arab neighborhoods of Jerusalem, was arrested and interrogated by police. He was later named as Khaled Kutina.

While the attack was originally speculated to have been an accident, police later announced their suspicions that the "car accident" was indeed a terror attack, with evidence from the scene including the way the car struck the bus stop where the two were waiting strengthening that assessment. Those suspicions were later confirmed by police chief Yohanan Danino.
