A new poll released Tuesday shows the Labor party, if it runs a joint list with Hatnua, catching up to the Likud in popularity among Israeli voters. The Channel Ten-Camille Fuchs poll shows Labor winning 22 seats, making it the largest party in the next Knesset.

The Likud would only get 18 – a significant erosion of support from the 28 seats it has in the current Knesset. Jewish Home would get 15 seats based on the poll, while the new party headed by Moshe Kahlon– as yet unformed and unannounced – would get 13 seats. Yisrael Beytenu would net 11 seats, while Yesh Atid would get only ten, nearly halving its current Knesset delegation.

Hareidi parties Shas and United Torah Judaism would get 7 seats each, while Meretz would get six. Both Kadima and Hatnu'ah would disappear from the political landscape altogether. The Arab parties would get 9 seats, probably only with two parties representing them instead of the current three.

Despite Labor being the largest single party, the right and religious parties would have an easier time forming a government, according to the poll. Between them, the Likud, Jewish Home, Yisrael Beiteinu, Shas and UTJ have 61 seats, enough to form a government, while the left – Labor, Yesh Atid and Meretz – have 38. It's not clear which government a Moshe Kahlon-led party would join.
