IDF soldiers have successfully hit 187 terror targets so far on Tuesday, military sources have revealed. One hundred of the targets were in the Sheijaya neighborhood in northern Gaza.
The targets include hidden rocket launchers, Hamas command centers, tunnels, launchers used for firing ground-to-ground missiles, and a weapons factory.
Soldiers report hitting at least 14 terrorists. One terrorist opened fire on a group of soldiers in northern Gaza shortly before 2 p.m. Tuesday. Soldiers returned fire, and the terrorist was killed.
Earlier in the day a terror cell was spotted and hit by an airstrike. Roughly 10 terrorists were killed. Another two fled by ambulance. Soldiers withheld fire for fear of hitting innocent bystanders.
Also Tuesday, troops spotted three terrorists and fired a tank shell in their direction.
Over 1,715 terror targets have been hit since the beginning of the ground operation in Gaza. Soldiers have found 66 tunnel entrances leading to a total of 23 tunnels. Six tunnels have been entirely destroyed.
A total of 28 terrorists have been arrested, and are being questioned.
