Hamas terrorists fired a large salvo of rockets towards Israel on Friday evening. The rocket attacks targeted both southern Israel as well as central Israel, as sirens were heard in the Tel Aviv area.

The Iron Dome anti-missile system intercepted three rockets over Ashdod. A fourth rocket exploded in an open area. Four rockets were intercepted over the Tel Aviv and Gush Dan area.

A rocket fired towards the town of Gan Yavne, near Ashdod, hit an empty kindergarten and caused damage to the building. A 40-year-old woman who was nearby suffered minor injuries from shattered glass fragments. Several more were treated for shock.

Three people suffered light injuries while running to protected spaces in Ashdod, Kiryat Ono and Ramat Gan.

Since midnight Thursday, 105 rockets have been fired from Gaza. 73 exploded in Israel, including three in populated regions. 29 were intercepted by Iron Dome.

The rocket attacks came as Israel continued its ground operation in Gaza, launched on Thursday night.

Since their entry into Gaza, IDF forces have attacked 150 targets, including tunnels, rocket launch sites and the homes of senior terrorist commanders.

Givati Brigade soldiers located 13 tunnel piers and killed three terrorists.
