Leaders of AIPAC, the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, toured the Barzilai Medical Center in Ashkelon this week.

Barzilai Director Dr. Hezi Levy briefed the visiting officials on the medical center's activities - both during usual hours and during emergencies, when the hospital is often unprotected from missile fire.

Dr. Levi, as well as senior management, then conducted a tour of the hospital for the esteemed AIPAC members. Among the attendees were AIPAC President, Robert Cohen; Executive Chairman, Michael Kassen; Executive Director, Howard Kohr; Managing Director Richard Fishman; and present and future leaders of the Committee.

The AIPAC officials sought to understand what it is like living under the constant threat of missile fire, and how hospitals like Barzilai prepare for potential emergencies.

At the end of the visit, the delegation thanked Dr. Levi for his time and for the tour, and promised to support the medical center in the future.
