Georgian Prime Minister in Israel to Sign Trade Agreement
Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, met with Interior Minister Gideon Saar Monday, as part of a visit to Israel in which the countries are to sign a trade agreement.
On Tuesday, Garibashvili will meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, as well as visit Yad VaShem. Garibashvili is also due to meet with President Shimon Peres and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein.
According to Azerjibani outlet Trend.az, Georgia and Israel will sign a free trade agreement that, according to the Georgian PM, "will be a breakthrough in relations between the two countries". In addition, a meeting of the Georgian-Israeli intergovernmental economic commission will be held.
Georgia and Israel have discussed allowing visa-free travel between the two countries, according to the news outlet.
