The British Broadcasting Company (BBC), known for its blatant bias against Israel, this week insisted that “no offence was intended” after it reported that Tel Aviv is the capital of the Jewish state during a commentary on the UEFA European Under-21 Championship.

According to Jewish News, the error came during Radio 5 Live’s coverage of England’s defeat to Norway last Saturday night.

Upon being contacted by  the Jewish New, BBC reportedly responded by saying,  “This was a live broadcast and sometimes errors are unfortunately made. We understand this is a sensitive issue and no offence was intended.”

BBC has made the same “mistake” numerous times before, most notably during the 2012 Olympic Games when it similarly referred to Tel Aviv as the capital of the Jewish state.
