Former IDF Spokesperson, MK Miri Regev, attacked her former military boss, Lt. Gen. (res.) Dan Halutz, in an interview on Channel 10. She served under Halutz as IDF Spokesperson during the "Disengagement" from Gaza and the Second Lebanon War.

Referring to Halutz's hospitalization on July 28, 2006, two weeks into the war, she said: "We tried to minimize damages. I knew how to get out the response in time and how to cause reporters to busy themselves with other things. How can I tell them something like that – that the IDF chief of staff stopped functioning in the middle of a war?

"In fact, there was no chief of staff for three days during the war," she added. "He was not at situation assessments. He was at the hospital."

MK Regev said that the war revealed to her a side of Halutz she had not known. "I was very, very disappointed, because I had expected to see a different person," she said.
