Temperatures dropped across the country after a hot weekend. The cool weather is expected to remain until Tuesday, when temperatures will begin to rise again.
Sunday will be cool and windy, with local rain showers in the north and center and possibly as far south as the northern Negev.
There may be brief thunderstorms in the north.
On Monday skies will be partially cloudy, forecasters say. Light local rain showers may occur during the morning, but are expected to end by mid-day.
The Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) rose by 1.5 centimeters over the weekend, a modest increase compared to the rate of increase earlier in the rainy season.
The rainy season will officially end next week with the beginning of the Passover holiday.
