Nefesh B’Nefesh conducted a week of Aliyah Mega Events and fairs in six major cities across North America this week.

Israel’s Consul General in New York, Ido Aharoni, took part in the aliyah event at Times Square in Manhattan. He outlined to the potential olim some of the things that make Israel unique.

Israel may have a negative image around the world, he said, but “Israel is about way more than its problems. Israel is way more than its geopolitical, unhappy circumstances. We have so much to offer. My community is surrounded by three Palestinian villages, but the situation with the Palestinians doesn’t even cross our minds when we live our lives in Israel.”

“Life in Israel is safe, is vibrant, is filled with inspiration and I think you will love every second of it,” said Aharoni.
