Israeli Recipe: Granola Snacks

Yummy, healthy and great for lunchboxes.Parve and quick to prepare.

2 cups oatmeal flakes

2 cups coarse oatmeal

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

3 tbs. honey or date spread (or silan date jam)

1.5 cups canola oil

3 small eggs

1/2 cup each: raisins, craisins, chopped almonds, choped waln uts

1 cup coconut flakes

sesame for sprinking on top (optional)

Heat oven to  375 F (about 200C)
Mix all dry ingredients, add oil, eggs and silan and mix until blended. Place in baking pan lined with baking paper. Use your palm to press down and fill the pan, as it will be sticky. Sesame seeds should be sprinkled on top at this point.  Bake for 20-25 minutes and cut into squares immediately after removing from the oven. When cool, remove from pan. Maybe kept in refrigerator or frozen. Can be kept at room temperature up to 3 days.
