The official logo that will accompany President Barack Obama’s upcoming visit to Israel has been selected.
Visitors to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's Facebook page had been asked to vote and select one logo out of a possible three, that were designed by graphic artists chosen by the Government Advertising Agency. After approximately 48 hours of voting, the logo that combines the Israeli and U.S. flags was chosen.
The winning logo received 66.8% of the thousands of votes; the remaining votes were divided among the other two possibilities. The winning logo will appear on all official signs and documents pertaining to the visit.
The English version of the code name chosen for the operations surrounding Obama’s upcoming visit is "Unbreakable Alliance." The Hebrew name is "Brit Amim," which means, literally, "an alliance between nations."
