Hundreds of Arab residents of Hevron took part Friday in a demonstration organized by Hamas celebrating the supposed Hamas "victory" over the IDF in Operation Pillar of Defense.

The demonstration was held under the slogan "Unity and Victory." Hamas flags were flown and there were chants in praise of Hamas and its "military arm," the Ezzedine el-Qassam Brigades.

The main speaker was Abdel Aziz Dweik, the speaker of the Palestinian Authority's parliament, who is a senior member of Hamas. He said that Egypt has played a leading role in stopping Israeli "aggression."    

Another senior Hamas terrorist, Refat Nasif of Tulkarm, said that the IDF's arrest of 55 Hamas men in Judea and Samaria at week's end "will not scare Hamas and will not cause it to abandon its path of jihad."
