Weather: Rain, Storms Friday

The weather will be stormy Friday. Rain is expected to abate by Saturday but return full force on Sunday.

Friday will be rainy with occasional thunderstorms, weather forecasters say. Flood warnings are in place in the south and east.

Thunderstorms were reported in the Jerusalem and Haifa regions and elsewhere during the morning.

Temperatures are expected to drop. The predicted temperatures, in degrees Celsius, are: Kiryat Shmona 11-20, Tzfat 10-15, Haifa 14-21, Tel Aviv 14-21, Jerusalem 11-16, Ashkelon 12-21, Ein Gedi 17-24, Be’er Sheva 9-21, Arad 9-20, Mitzpeh Rimon 12-18, Eilan 17-26.

On Saturday the rains will abate someone, and by Saturday afternoon the weather is expected to be pleasant with no storms. Temperatures will remain unchanged.

A second wave of rain is predicted for Sunday. Temperatures are to drop further.

On Monday rain will continue with local showers. Temperatures are not expected to rise until later in the week.
