A Fajr 5 missile fired by Gaza terrorists exploded on Tuesday evening on the roof of a residential building in the central Israeli city of Rishon LeZion.

It was the second time that a missile was fired at Rishon LeZion since the beginning of Operation Pillar of Defense, but the first time that a building in the city was directly hit.

Volunteer paramedics from the Ichud Hatzalah organization told Arutz Sheva that the missile landed on the roof of the six-storey building and destroyed its upper floors. However, the residents of the building were mostly unhurt because they obeyed the instructions of Home Front Command and went into their protected spaces upon hearing the siren.

The paramedics treated one person for light wounds caused by shrapnel, and a number of people who suffered from shock.
