The early siren warning saved lives, according to an eyewitness report aired on Voice of Israel government radio. Residents in the building ran to the bomb shelter on the second floor before the missile struck.
Several people were rushed to Barzelai Hospital for shock and trauma.
A second missile hit a car, causing heavy damage but no injuries.
