There were contradicting reports Thursday morning that terror groups in Gaza had agreed to a cease fire and would prevent further firing of rockets to southern Israel. The cease fire, according to some sources, was agreed to by the terror groups in Gaza Wednesday night, and went into effect midnight Wednesday. The cease fire was brokered by Egypt, the sources said.
Other sources said, however, that the cease fire was not official, and that several terror groups had not agreed to it, reserving the right to continue attacking Israel. No rockets have been fired since midnight.
In any event, Israel is not taking any chances. Residents were told to remain on alert, but studies in schools on the border areas and in Sderot will continue as normal.
