Dearborn, Michigan is known as a hotbed for Muslim activity, but one Jewish resident was surprised when Muslim youth threw a bottle of liquid on his car that displayed Israeli flags, prompting the police to question him.
The incident has made the rounds on several web sites and has been confirmed, and the vandalism towards the driver can be seen at 2:25 in the video below.
The driver was passing in front of the Dearborn Fordson High School when students were leaving classes. With two Israeli flags in the back of his truck, he was stopped behind traffic, with a police car behind him.
Students began to approach his car, and one youth threw a bottle of liquid on his windshield. The driver rolled down his window to tell the students to stop.
The driver said that the principal called the police, who approached him and questioned the driver for causing a disturbance as Muslim youth hurled death threats at him.
Police said they did not hear the threats.
"The Dearborn police were one car behind me when this student threw a bottle on my windshield. The police did not stop the student, but instead stopped me for 30 minutes asking me why I would display Israeli flags on my truck,” the man stated.
Both the principal and the driver, who is a graduate of the same high school, filed a report on the incident.
One report said that the driver was conducting a social studies experiment, If so, he got instant results.
Last year, several hundred angry Muslims in Dearborn, waving Palestinian Authority and Lebanese flags, broke through police barricades and charged at Pastor Terry Jones, who was speaking in front of City Hall after having been arrested for speaking against Shari'a Islamic law and Jihad (holy war) outside a mosque without a permit.
Police called in riot officers to help push back the crowds, who had hit several of Jones’s supporters with foreign objects.
Below is a video of the Muslim protest against Jones.
