Israeli Social Justice (Tzedek Hevrati) leader, Daphne Leef posted to her Facebook page on Friday night: "Stav Shafir has announced that she will compete for a place in the list of Labor Party in the upcoming elections."

Stav Shafir, a friend of Leef’s is her associate in the leftist J14 movement. She will run under the party slogan: "This is our time".

Arutz Sheva will keep you informed as the story breaks.

Meanwhile, Shafir wrote on her Facebook:

"With great excitement, I am happy to inform you that I have decided to enter politics and run for local Labor Party list…If there's something I learned last year, it is that the most decisive moments are the easiest. My mission is to take them to the place where you make the rules. I cannot do the it alone. There is one way to create a healthy politic here: If we do this together…”
