A hareidi Jewish family was unhurt Tuesday evening after a gun battle took place outside the family's Brooklyn home.

Five bullets were fired into the family's apartment. The home was slightly damaged, but the family was not in the home at the time of the shooting.

Local media reported that the family was at a relative's residence at the time of the shooting.

Police determined that the gunshots had been intended for another apartment, that belonged to a local drug dealer.
