A Nazi slogan was posted on a Facebook page promoting a rally in Melbourne this week organized by the anti-Israel Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement.
The comment "Wir mussen die Juden ausrotten", meaning "We must exterminate the Jews", was "liked" by two people before it was deleted, The Australian reported.
Jewish community leaders stressed concern over anti-Semitism being disguised as anti-Zionism, as well as perpetual violence surrounding the BDS movement, which explicitly links Israel with apartheid-era South Africa.
"Free Palestine, boycott pro-apartheid corporations," the rally’s Facebook page reads.
The organizers of the rally, which is scheduled to take place Friday outside the State Library of Victoria, were unavailable for comment.
Eleven BDS protesters were arrested in Melbourne in July of last year for demonstrating outside of a Max Brenner chocolate shop, claiming the chain belongs to the Israeli-owned Strauss Group, which produces food rations for the Israeli Defense Forces.
