A fundraiser last Thursday for the Jewish National Fund (JNF-KKL) and Israeli House was disrupted by pro-Palestinian Authority anarchists in Berlin.

The fundraiser, a concert by the longtime Israeli music group “Gevatron,” was transformed into chaos as a team of 10 protesters yelled “Free Palestine!” and then started hurling JNF containers and CDS belonging to the band, the Hebrew-language newspaper Israel Hayom reported.

Protesters tore down the Israeli flag, knocked over signs, and waved banners protesting JNF activity in Judea and Samaria, saying the organization symbolizes conquest of land that belongs to PA Arabs.

The riot was apparently carried out by the “Berlin Direct Action” group, which reportedly included Palestinian Authority Arabs living in Germany, a few Iranians, one Spanish activist and two Israelis. The incident was organized by the BDS (boycott, divestment and sanctions) movement against Israel.

"It is the first time in the band's 65 years of existence that such a thing has happened,” band manager Yoel Parnass told Israeli Hebrew-language daily newspaper Yediot Acharonot. “Some of the band members were really startled.”

Local security personnel arrived within 10 minutes to remove the rioters from the hall. Parnass said the concert resumed once order was restored, which “simply boosted the atmosphere further.”
