The International Young Israel Movement (IYIM) on Wednesday spent the third day of the holiday of Sukkot with the IDF.

With a sukkah placed on the back of a flat bed army truck leading the way, IYIM-Israel region distributed hundreds of Sukkah treat packages to IDF soldiers on active duty in the Shomron.

The soldiers at first were startled to see civilian visitors, but concern turned to smiles as they received their festive packages. Many were bleary eyed from late night shifts but were happy to roll out of bed to receive their gifts.

The soldiers were found in large bases, small bases and even on a shooting range. One soldier, a new immigrant and lone soldier from Los Angeles, California summed it up by stating. “You have truly made our Sukkot a joyful one. Thank you to all who have made this possible”.

The IYIM Sukkot campaign was made possible through kind contributions by members and friends of IYIM worldwide.
