The Salafi terror organization Majlis Shura Al-Mujahidin on Sunday claimed responsibility for three rocket attacks at Israeli targets on Saturday and Sunday.

A statement published by the organization and translated by Arab affairs expert Dalit Halevi claimed responsibility for firing a rocket at Ashkelon on September 1 at 10:30 p.m., firing a Grad missile at Netivot on September 2 at 9:30 a.m. and launching three rockets at the Kissufim crossing on September 2 at 10:00 a.m.

The organization, which is ideologically affiliated with Al-Qaeda, also claimed responsibility for last week’s firing f three Kassam rockets at the city of Sderot, including on the first day of school.

The organization claimed that the rocket attacks were a response to the throwing of rocks by Jewish residents of Judea and Samaria at Palestinian Authority Arabs in Shuafat, the beating of a PA Arab by IDF soldiers in Hevron and the killing of a PA Arab worker in Qalqilya.

The statement also expressed surprise at the behavior of the security forces of the Hamas government in Gaza, which it claimed is “chasing down the Mujahidin which is launching missiles at the enemy.” The organization noted that Hamas security forces in northern Gaza searches and questioned residents about the identity of missile launchers and about the vehicles that they use.

“We remind them that the public elected them solely to protect the Jihad enterprise and the resistance, and not to persecute the Mujahidin and violate their dignity and their homes,” wrote the organization, adding it will continue the attacks on Israel, and that “there will be no security for the cowardly enemy.”

Majlis Shura Al-Mujahidin Shura also claimed responsibility for a Friday morning rocket attack which hit a home in Sderot.

The organization said it fired at Sderot as part of the "the retaliation by the [Muslim] lions against the Jewish attacks."
