      Photo Essay: Balabasta Festival Turns Market Into Street Fair

      The Balabasta festival in the historic Mahane Yehuda marketplace, known as the shuk, featured music, art and performances.

      The annual Balabasta festival took place for the past three Sundays in the Mahane Yehuda marketplace in Jerusalem. Known as "the shuk", the historic area is known for its fresh fruit, vegetables, fish and other products. The festival featured music, art and performances from local talent.
