A terrorist was wounded at the entrance to Maaleh Adumim Wednesday afternoon, after he tried to snatch a gun from a security guard.

According to reports from the scene of the incident, the terrorist rammed his car into a security or police vehicle, then tried to snatch a gun from the security man on the scene. The security man shot the terrorist, wounding him severely.

The terrorist was evacuated to a hospital.

The main entrance to Maaleh Adumim was closed off to traffic.

Security officials also revealed Wednesday they have arrested a gang of six northern Jerusalem Arab terrorists who have attacked Jews as well as Arabs suspected of cooperating with Israel.

The gang operated in the Issawiya neighborhood, located at the foot of French Hill. Many of the neighborhood's residents work at the nearby Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital.
