Billionaire casino king Sheldon Adelson, a strong  supporter of Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, is donating $10 million to a super political action committee (PAC) that backs the GOP’s Mitt Romney, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

The Restore Our Future super PAC did not comment on the reported donation.

Adelson previously contributed $21 million dollars to the unsuccessful campaign of Newt Gingrich to win the Republic nomination for president. Gingrich since has backed Romney.

Romney's campaign treasure chest is beginning to bulge. Contributions surpassed those for Obama for the first time last month, reaching nearly $77 million as opposed to slightly more than $60 million for the incumbent president.

Adelson met with Romney last month and sources told the Journal that the casino magnate wanted to be sure of the Republican candidate’s positions on Israel and its enemies in the Middle East.

The reported $10 million donations is just the beginning, the newspaper’s website stated. Adelson reportedly intends to invest $100 million in conservative candidates and non-profit organizations.
