Lawyer and businessman Yuval Kellner, 34, will replace Tzipi Livni as Knesset Member for Kadima when she tenders her resignation to Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin Tuesday.

Zellner served in the Paratroopers and was severely wounded in the course of his military service. After his release from service he served as aide to then-Minister of Interior Chaim Ramon, and was Head of Staff for the Director of the Prime Minister's Office in Ariel Sharon's government. He also was in charge of infrastructures in the National Security Council.

Zellner headed MK Shaul Mofaz's staff in the 2008 Kadima primaries. He supported Mofaz in the latest primary battle as well, in which Mofaz defeated Livni.

It is not clear what Livni's future plans are. Political sources estimated that she may form a new party or vie for a spot within Yair Lapid's new party.
