National Union Chairman MK Yaakov Katz (Ketzaleh) and MK Uri Ariel will meet Minister Daniel Hershkovitz and MK Uri Orbach of the Jewish Home Monday in order to prepare for running in a joint list for the next Knesset.
The two NU MKs, both of whom are from the Tekuma movement, say that they have made the utmost efforts within their faction to bring MKs Aryeh Eldad (HaTikva Movement) and Michael Ben Ari (Eretz Yisrael Shelanu movement) on board as well. However, they said, this move ran aground after Eldad and Ben Ari failed to reply to Tekuma's ultimatum.
Eretz Yisrael Shelanu will hold a convention at ZOA House in Tel Aviv next week as part of preparations to run for Knesset alongside MK Eldad of HaTikva.
The two Jewish Home MKs, meanwhile, have not succeeded in reaching understandings with the Mafdal party central committee. The central committee said it would not accept any result of a census and primaries that did not place a Mafdal representative in the top slot.
