Vandals have desecrated a memorial for Rabbi Meir Chai, of Shavei Shomron, who was murdered by terrorists just over two years ago. The memorial was splashed with paint, and an Israeli flag at the site was ripped down and torn apart.

Rabbi Meir Chai was shot and killed as he drove along the Shavei Shomron – Netanya road in Samaria. Fatah terrorists claimed responsibility for the murder.

The Samaria Residents Council said in response, “When the state of Israel is silent when memorials to her sons are desecrated, it is no wonder that Arab terror raises its head and tries to do harm to both the dead and the living.”

“We are sure that anyone with even a little sincerity and communal responsibility will condemn the desecration of this memorial,” the group added.

In October, Palestinian Authority vandals desecrated a memorial to Asher and Yonatan Palmer, a father and his baby son who were murdered by terrorists as they drove to Jerusalem.
