Rescue and firefighting crews responded Tuesday to a car fire in an olive grove near the intersection of Hanania in the Galilee.

Fire crews put out the blaze only to discover the body of a four year old boy in the car.

Magen Dovid Adom medics attempted life saving techniques, but failed. A physician declared the boy dead at the scene.

ZAKA volunteers summoned to the scene told Artuz Sheva that the child and his family came to the grove to pick olives, but still is not clear why he was left in the vehicle.

He said the cause of the fire has yet to be established, but that there was a very strong blaze in the car’s interior where the child was.

Authorities at the scene have refused to speculate as to whether the fire could be terrorism related.

Police and fire investigators are still making inquiries about the tragedy.
