A man aged 54 was killed Sunday as he participated in a security-related test by the Israel Military Industry (IMI). The testing took place near Elyakim Base in northern Israel, in an area used as a military firing range.

A misfired bullet reportedly struck the man's head, wounding him fatally. The exact circumstances of the incident have not been made known.

The man was reportedly an employee of IMI.

A Magen David Adom emergency services crew arrived on the scene and determined that the man had died. The Military Police are investigating.
