Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists hurled rocks Monday night at a bus with Israeli license plates traveling on Highway 60 through Judea.

The bus was attacked as it passed the Arab village of El Aroub, a hotbed of anti-Israel terrorist activity.

It is a point from which PA terrorists often launch attacks on passing motorists and IDF soldiers on patrol, located about five minutes south of the Gush Etzion junction, and about ten minutes north of Kiryat Arba-Hevron.

The passengers on the bus that was targeted Monday evening were not physically injured. However, the vehicle itself was damaged. IDF soldiers immediately set out to search for the attackers.

Rock attacks can be deadly -- as they are intended to be -- and as happened a few months ago when a terrorist hurled a rock through the windshield of Asher Palmer's car in a drive-by attack on the same road, near Kiryat Arba-Hevron. Both Palmer and his baby son were killed in the attack.

PA Arab terrorists use sharp-edged, irregularly-shaped, fist-sized rocks made of a combination of limestone and quartz in their attacks on the roads of Judea and Samaria -- the same type of rocks that are so highly prized by landscape artists elsewhere around the country for their durability and hardness.

Unfortunately, the same rocks are also extremely effective as weapons.
