MK Miri Regev (Likud) on Wednesday responded to a proposal by MK Ahmad Tibi (Ram-Ta'al) that would proscribe Israelis living in Judea and Samaria from serving on the Supreme Court by calling it "perverse."

"Every Jewish citizen has the moral and ethical right to live anywhere in Israel from the Mediterranean Sea in the west to the Jordan in the east," Regev said. "It is our birthright to live in Israel and to have our own state."

"No one in the world has the right to fault those who exercise their right to live in Israel - or to restrict them from doing so," She said. "Let alone an Arab who has been given more rights by Jewish Israel than Arabs enjoy in Arab countries."

Regev added, "We will not allow him to come into the Knesset in Jerusalem and undermine our right to Eretz Israel, and our right to appoint the judges of Israel as we see fit."

"The last person who can play the advocate for justice in Jerusalem is MK Tibi who constantly seeks to undermine the foundations of democracy in Israel - and makes proposals that would lead Israel into the same anarchy that is rocking our Arab neighbors," she said.

Regev was not alone in her sharp criticism of Tibi's undemocratic proposal.

MK Michael Ben Ari (National Union) said, its obnoxious "for anyone who supported the appointment of Salim Jubran to the Supreme Court to try to disqualify anyone from serving as a justice. If it were up to Tibi, a condition for appointing a judge would be that they wear the robes of Qaddafi."

MK Danny Danon (Likud) said, “The delusional law comes from delusional and treacherous MK Tibi. I have requested the Knesset Chairman to reject the law proposal."

"We should throw Jew hater Tibi out of the Knesset," he added.
