President Shimon Peres released on Monday his yearly greeting to Jewish communities in the Diaspora on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year.

Peres expressed three things he hopes the Jewish people will experience in the new year: To enjoy security and peace, to be true to Jewish tradition, and to continue to have a leading part in the development of science and technology.

He wished for “a happy year for us, for our friends, for our neighbors, for the rest of the world. Shana Tova!”
