One Palestinian Authority Arab died on Friday after a mutual rock hurling incident between Israeli civilians and approximately 300 PA Arabs near the village of Qusra, south of Shechem, incited a violent riot.

The IDF Spokesperson reported that during the riot, PA Arabs hurled rocks at security personnel. Security personnel used riot dispersal means and eventually, live fire.

PA-based news sources reported that three rioters were injured by the Israeli live fire, and that one of them subsequently passed away.

According to the IDF’s statement, the IDF and the Palestinian Authority security forces are jointly investigating the incident.

The incident came after an afternoon of violent riots: Earlier, about 200 PA Arabs threw rocks at police and soldiers in Qalandiya and in Ras al-Amud. Israel’s Channel 10 News reported that police arrested one man in his home after a chase and he was taken for questioning.
