Ramadan: Two Arabs Dead in Clash with Soldiers near Ramallah
Two Arabs who were in a mob attacking soldiers with rocks were killed near Ramallah Monday during a riot following the arrest of several terrorist suspects.
An IDF spokeswoman told Arutz Sheva that five soldiers were injured by rocks. No one was hospitalized. She said there has been no confirmation of the reported deaths of Arabs.
In Gaza, terrorists struck the western Negev with two rockets as the Muslim holy month of Ramadan began.
The missiles that were fired from Gaza brought to 26 the number of rocket attacks since the first of July, a month marked by a sharp escalation in terrorist attacks on Gaza Belt communities. Mainstream media followed their usual policy of not reporting on missile attacks that do not cause property damage or injuries.
Israel has responded to virtually every attack since several weeks after the conclusion of the counterterrorist Operation Cast Lead campaign in January 2009, and it is likely that the IDF will strike again at terrorist targets.
