Egypt has blocked two top members of the Iranian-funded Islamic Jihad terrorist organization from entering the country.

Dr. Anwar Abu Taha and Muhamad Harazin attempted to enter the Sinai Peninsula from Gaza via the Rafiah crossing on Sunday.

No reason was given for the rejection, according to other senior members of the terrorist organization.

Abu Taha, a member of the group's political bureau, cursed Israel's former prime minister, Ariel Sharon, when it was announced in 2006 he had been felled by a massive stroke which left him comatose. “We are not sorry for him – to hell with him,” Abu Taha told the Hizbullah terrorist-linked al-Manar television station in Beirut. “We in Islamic Jihad and all Palestinians have no sympathy for any Zionists.”

Both Islamic Jihad and Hamas have smuggled into Gaza huge quantities of weapons through the Sinai Peninsula since the fall of former Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak. The smuggling is carried out in cooperation with the Bedouin tribes who live in the Sinai and who have since essentially gained control over the region.
