From Palestinian Media Watch (PMW): A song broadcast on PA TV last week reiterates for its viewing audience that Israeli cities Jaffa, Acre (Acco), Haifa and Nazreth are actually Palestinian.

The PMW report states that the song was broadcast this past Friday, in advance of Sunday’s Nakba Day when Israel’s establishment is promoted as a “tragedy.”

The song essentially denies Israel's right to exist. "Jaffa, Acre, Haifa, and Nazareth are ours," states the song, entitled, “On the way to Jerusalem,” by Muhammad Kabha. The song, in the form of a music video, identifies numerous cities all over Israel, claiming they are "Palestinian."

The video shows scenes from around Israel, with a repeating image of a boy carrying a Palestinian flag.

The lyrics are as follows:

Jaffa, Acre, Haifa, and Nazareth are ours.

[ I ], Muhammad, sing about the Galilee and the Golan (Heights).

Jaffa, Acre, Haifa and Nazareth are ours.

[ I ], Kabha, sing about the Galilee and the Golan (Heights).

From Bethlehem to Jenin is Palestinian,

Ramle, Lod and Sakhnin are Palestinian.

Nowhere is more beautiful than Jerusalem;

no matter how much we travel

From Safed to Al-Badhan (near Nablus) is Palestinian;

Tiberias and Ashkelon are Palestinian.

Jaffa (part of Tel Aviv), Haifa, most of the Galilee and Tiberias were in the original Israeli borders of the 1947 partition plan, and the other locations mentioned in the song – except for the Golan – have been Israeli since 1948.

“This is just one more example of how the PA routinely defines Israeli cities and places as ‘Palestinian,’” PMW concludes.
