A group of women in Brooklyn is holding a public Purim rally Sunday to express their solidarity with the surviving Fogel children of Itamar and to honor the memories of their parents and siblings.

Rabbi Udi Fogel, his wife Ruth and three of their six children – including a 3-month-old baby -- were murdered Friday night in their beds 10 days ago by Arab terrorists. Their 12-year-old daughter Tamar discovered the horrifying tragedy when she returned home from a youth group event.

Although the Sunday afternoon event is being run by women, “the entire community is invited,” Tamar Adelstein, who heads the group, told Israel National News.

Adelstein explained the rally is also aimed at underscoring the importance of “maintaining the integrity of the complete Land of Israel” – a running theme of her telephone talk show.

Especially geared for children, the event features a recitation of special passages highlighted by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson.

“Many of Judaism's fundamentals are brought out through these verses and sayings of our sages, which the Rebbe taught that every child should study and recite each day,” Adelstein noted.

The event features live music, a speaker and a performance by renowned Master Storyteller Rabbi Yitzy Erps.

Slated for 1:00 p.m. EDT at 1714 President Street (Utica / Rochester), the event is being sponsored by Women for the Safety and Integrity of Israel, the “Shleimus Ha'Aretz talk show, Friends of the Frankel Shul and the Adelstein Family.
