European experts spoke at the 2011 Herzliya Conference on the perception that Israel is losing support in Europe. While Europeans understand that Israel “lives in a difficult neighborhood,” most learn about Israel from the media, leaving them with misperceptions, said British Shadow Minister Michael Dugher.

Dr. Jurgen Ruttgers of Germany spoke of the “shared interest” in a peaceful Middle East, and of the need for Europe and Israel to make shared demands from the Arab world.
