The Hamas terrorist organization’s “Gaza Hackers Group” hacked the Jerusalem-based Jewish People Policy Institute (JPPI) website and removed important policy reports on Friday night, the JPPI said.

The hackers posted a picture of an Israeli tank and an Arab on to the Institute's English website and also posted pictures of a burning Israeli flag and a message in Hebrew, English and Arabic, reading “Gaza Will Win.”

The Institute is headed by former U.S. Under Secretary of State and former U.S. Under Secretary of the Treasury, Ambassador Stewart Eizenstat, and Leonid Nevzlin from Israel.

The hackers removed the assessments and analysis documents that were recently uploaded and which included the conclusions reached in the “Future of the Jewish People Conference" several months ago that was sponsored by the Institute.

President Shimon Peres, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ehud Barak, opposition leader Tzipi Livni. Cabinet minister, professors and Jewish leaders participated in the conference.

"The working papers posted this week on the website concern several of the most important issues for the leadership of the Jewish people,” said Avinoam Bar Yoseph, the Institute's founding director. “I was not surprised by this act. We all know that the struggle on the Internet is another way in which to harm the image of Israel and the Jewish people."

The Institute’s documents still are available on the Hebrew site but among those removed from the English site are those dealing with the participation of world Jewry in decisions relating to the political process, a document concerning the de-legitimization of Israel, an assessment of the situation of European Jewry, and a document summarizing the discussion regarding the Conversion Law.

The prestigious Institute's Board of Directors includes Irwin Cotler, former Minister of Justice of Canada,  Yitzchak Molcho, head of the Israeli negotiation team dealing with the Palestinian Authority, and former Minister of Education, Aharon Yadlin.
