For years, world media outlets have parroted Arab propaganda that stated that weekly riots at Bil'in and Naalin are peaceful protests. The latest libel against Israel regarding Bil'in is that a demonstrator, Jawaher Abu Rahma, died of tear gas inhalation.
The IDF shows video that makes it clear just how peaceful the Bil'in protests are.
Every Friday, demonstrators riot near the village of Bil'in, supposedy to protest the route of the security fence there. The Israeli High Court ruled that the fence should be repositioned, and work is currently underway for the new fence. When the new security fence is completed, the one adjacent to Bil'in will be removed.
Despite this, the Arabs continue to riot, using violence, throwing rocks and sometimes firebombs. Over the past several years over 200 Israeli security personnel have been injured at these riots.
The Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, Brig. Gen. Nitzan Alon, briefed the press about the conclusion of the Jawaher Abu Rahma case and a recent terrorist arrest.
