MK Carmel Shama of the ruling Likud party said in Be'er Sheva Saturday that in a permanent arrangement with the Palestinian Authority, Israel's heavily Arab areas – the 'Triangle' and the Umm El Fahm area – should be annexed to the PA. “If we are not brothers, we should separate from each other,” he said. “I am not for [forcible population] transfer, I am simply handing them over to the PA.

A similar solution has been touted for years by the Israel Our Home party under Avigdor Lieberman. The idea is to allow the PA to annex the heavily Arab-populated parts of Israel, and for Israel to annex a comparably-sized part of Judea and Samaria that has Jewish residents..

Following the statement, MK Taleb A-Sana (Raam Taal) filed a complaint with the Attorney General against Shama, whom he accused of racist incitement.

INN adds: Israel's Arab citizens elect Knesset representatives who malign Israel – some of whom are suspected of treason – and they do not allow Jews to live inside their villages. At the same time, they regularly accuse Jews of racism.

Many Jews, too, have been taught by the Israeli Left to see any opposition to what could be termed Arab sedition, nationalism and territorial aggression as 'racist.' Recently, the mayor of Karmiel, Adi Eldar, fired his deputy, Oren Milstein, after Milstein gave an interview to BeSheva magazine in which he expressed opposition to the Arab influx into Karmiel.

"Karmiel is a Jewish town, plain and simple,” Milstein had said. “It was established in order to Judaize the Galilee and it is not proper in my view that Arab families move to live in it.”
