Five Israelis – four tourists and a guide – were hurt in an accident in Morocco Thursday. At least one of them is reportedly in serious condition. The Israelis were sitting inside a moving tour bus, when the side of a truck came loose and fell, striking their bus.
The accident occurred near Marrakesh, in southwestern Morocco, near the Atlas mountains.
The injured Israelis were evacuated to a nearby hospital but their condition is not yet known and details of the accident have yet to be ascertained.
According to reports quoted on IDF Radio, one of the Israelis was seriously hurt and the rest are suffering from broken bones and are in light to moderate condition.
The Foreign Ministry said that it is monitoring the situation and is in touch with various bodies in Morocco and Israel that are keeping it updated.
The tourists are on an organized tour for employees of an Israeli firm, and were traveling in two buses.
